Shoot Nine - Work Record
Inspiration
This shoot was an extension of shoot eight using a more brightly coloured and photogenic donut.
What I did
I used slightly more closer shots than in shoot eight, however overall the shoot remained pretty similar. I did also photograph Taylor with the donut before she eta it using it as a hat etc. If I did this again I would use multiple types of donut and more colours.

How I would improve
My Work
I am really pleased with this photograph as it is really fun, effective and really meets the title of this project. To improve this photograph I would change the photograph to a photograph as Taylor holding the donut as her ears as this then would have deeper meaning of the saying 'see no evil, speck no evil, hear no evil.
I think this animation works really well with regards to colour, lighting and composition. The only thing that I would improve is the background as it is slightly cream instead of white.
What I will do next
I think that I have come to the end of this idea of using food in my unusual portraiture however I may stick with the idea of messy photography so may use something like paint or glitter in my next shoot.

Shoot Eight - Work Record

Inspiration
My inspiration from this shoot was from two photographs that I found during my research into this project as seen to the left. I thought this was interesting as it different from other unusual portraiture photographs.
What I did
What I actually did in this shoot was use food that were notorious for making a mess in order to create a strange and unusual portraiture shoot. I also used video to film Taylor eat the donut in order to capture each detail. I also told Taylor no to lick her lips in order to get the best mess results.
How I would improve
To improve this shoot I would consider zooming in more on the mouth and possibly use a coloured or location background just so that the photograph has more depth. I would also include more brightly coloured foods and make even more mess with like the idea of a food fight with a childish theme to link to shoot seven.
My Work
I was pleased with this photograph because I feel it works really well with the title of my project and is a very clear and focused photograph. I also think the facial expression works really well creating overall an affective piece of photography. The central but slightly angled composition is also very nice and veralp creates an attractive photograph.
Once again I was pleased with this photograph however to improve it I would cut more of the background off as this seems a bit much and I would frame the head more. I also this that the black and white colouring makes Taylor seem very pale.
What I will do next
Next I would like to do this shoot again but experiment with the food types used. I would consider using brighter coloured food and backgrounds.

Inspiration
I got the inspiration from this shoot from Andy Alcala as he uses face paint in all of his work. As I am not very good with face paint I decided I would try and do this on photoshop. I chose to use my nephew as face paint is often associated with children.
What I did
I took normal portraiture photographs of my nephew with a straight face. I then uploaded them and drew on different animal faces using the paint brush tall. I feel this went well however some of the lines and edges were not the best that they could be.

How I would improve
To improve this shoot I would try more complex face painting with more detail and colours to make more interesting
photographs. I would also try and use real face paints on multiple people and include more depth in the photograph like the work of Andy Acala.
My Work
I am pleased with the outcome of this photograph as it has a childish theme to it which I think works really well for what I was trying to achieve. I also think that as this photograph was taken on location the composition and colour works really well. I Really like how the multiple imagery of the same image with a single change works really well and creates continuity throughout the image.
I was once again pleased with the outcome of the photo with regards to lighting and composition however I feel that you can see how the details in this photograph have been added in photoshop. I do think that the portrait photograph itself is nice as the child has eye contact with the camera and the composition places the eyes in the top third of the photograph so fills out the whole square.

Shoot Six - Work Record
Inspiration
I got the inspiration for this shoot from the previous shoot as I felt the idea would be best done as a location shoot. I also took influence from photographers such as Sam Taylor-Wood, Phillip Dame and Dan Lester
who look at using illusion in there work.
who look at using illusion in there work.
What I did
In this shoot I set the camera up on a tripod in my garden and put a seat in the centre of the shot. I then alternated with taking photographs with e on and off the seat in order to create the desired effect when editing. I then uploaded them and edited them n photoshop to make it look as if there was not chair there in the first place, and I am floating.

How I would improve
To improve this shoot I would create even more different poses on the bench so that it looks more interesting and effective. I would also use a background that is more visually attractive to add more to the photographs.
My Work
My Work
I think this photograph works well because the disappearance of my set and head are obvious which makes an interesting photograph. I think the composition and lighting in this photograph also work really well. To improve I would consider just removing the head as the feet take away from that a bit.
I am really pleased with this photograph because it actually gives the illusion that I am floating. Once again I was pleased with the composition and lighting. To improve I would consider standing to give a different effect or using a different location that is more interesting.
What I will do next
I feel that the idea of illusion has worked well however I have decided that I will look at something slightly different in my next shoot. What I would like to try next time is using photoshop to edit normal portraiture photographs in a slightly different way that I have before.
