Shoot Two - Work Records

Inspiration
I got the idea from this shoot when shooting my first shoot as I felt it would be interesting to alter the exiting features of the model instead of adding new cartoonist ones.

What I did

What I did during this shoot was take numerous portraits of Amelia against different coloured backgrounds, pulling different facial expressions. This shoot went really well and the colours and lighting made a really successful shoot. Once I uploaded the photographs I changed the levels and curves and then liquified the photographs to create large and small facial features  to achieve the desired affect and to meet the 'unusual portraiture' criteria.

How I would improve

To improve this shoot I would create more subtle changes that can still be noticed so that the photographs do not come out as extreme. I would also look at using more facial expressions and full body shots to add more features into the picture that can be changed.

My Work

I am really pleased with how this photograph turned out because the background is a really nice colour which allows Amelia to stand out agains it. I also really like how the facial expression has been exaggerated with makes a really attractive photograph.

In this photograph I copied one side of Amelia's face and reflected it to the other so that her face is symmetrical. I am quite pleased with this photograph as it makes for an interesting image however doesn't really fit with the aim of the shoot.
What I will do next

What I think I will go on to do in the next shoot is more photographs that are cut in half but instead of using the reflected face I will merge multiple peoples faces together.
